About the Role
As an HVAC Costing & Estimation Engineer, you will be crucial in pricing and planning end-to-end HVAC solutions for our large commercial projects. You will work closely with project teams, architects, and contractors to ensure integrated, compliant, and cost-effective system delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation & Costing:
Perform detailed, end-to-end cost estimation for diverse HVAC systems, including
chilled water systems
and air distribution networks.
Documentation Review:
Thoroughly review
Design Basis Reports (DBR)
,
Bill of Quantities (BOQs)
, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
Coordination:
Act as a key coordinator between internal project teams, architects, and contractors to develop and implement integrated, optimized HVAC solutions.
Compliance:
Ensure all designs and estimations strictly comply with industry standards, including
ASHRAE
,
LEED
requirements, and local building codes.
Technical Accuracy:
Review and validate design drawings and documentation for technical feasibility and accuracy.
Value Engineering:
Actively participate in value engineering discussions to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
Client Interaction:
Attend client and stakeholder meetings to present estimates and discuss technical specifications.
Required Skills & QualificationsEssential
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering
or equivalent.
Experience:
3 to 5 years
of hands-on experience in HVAC design and cost estimation, specifically in
contracting projects
.
Software Proficiency:
Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard software:
AutoCAD
,
Revit MEP
,
HAP
(Hourly Analysis Program), and MS Office Suite.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong, in-depth understanding of various HVAC systems, equipment selection, and principles of
energy efficiency
.
Standards:
Familiarity with major industry standards such as
ASHRAE
and
LEED
.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
