Human Resource OFFICER



An

Experienced HR Officer

in the

marine / shipping / offshore support sector

manages end-to-end HR operations with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, crew and staff lifecycle administration, and workforce support across multinational teams. The role bridges local HR functions with industry-specific requirements such as

crewing, travel/rotation logistics, and maritime certifications

.

1. Recruitment & Selection



Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes Screen resumes, schedule interviews, and issue offer letters Assist in onboarding new employees

2. Employee Onboarding & Records



Prepare appointment letters and contracts Maintain employee files and HR databases (HRIS) Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping

3. Employee Relations



Act as a point of contact for employee queries Support conflict resolution and grievance handling Promote a positive workplace culture

4. HR Policies & Compliance



Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures Ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations Support audits and inspections

5. Attendance & Leave Management



Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and leave records Ensure compliance with leave policies

6. Payroll & Compensation Support



Coordinate with payroll for salary processing Verify attendance, overtime, and deductions Support benefits administration

7. Training & Development



Assist in organizing training programs and workshops Track training records and employee development plans

8. Performance Management



Support appraisal and performance review processes Maintain performance documentation

9. Health, Safety & Welfare



Assist in workplace health and safety initiatives Support employee wellness programs

10. HR Reporting



Prepare HR reports (headcount, attrition, recruitment) Analyze basic HR metrics

Skills Required for an HR Officer



Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of labor laws and HR practices Organizational and time-management skills Confidentiality and ethical conduct Proficiency in MS Office / HR software
