Job Summary
As the HR Manager for the Logistics Division, you will strategically and operationally lead HR functions supporting the logistics business -- ensuring that workforce planning, talent acquisition, people development, performance management, employee engagement, and compliance are aligned with operational needs and business goals.
This role requires solid understanding of logistics operations and workforce dynamics in supply chain environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership
Develop HR strategies aligned with logistics business objectives (e.g., manpower planning for warehouses, CFS, freight operations).
Partner with operations leadership to understand workforce needs and translate them into HR programs.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Lead end-to-end recruitment for logistics functions (operations, warehouse, transport, customer service, supply chain tech).
Create role-specific job descriptions, screening criteria, and selection frameworks tailored to logistics roles.
3. Performance & Learning
Implement performance management systems that reflect operational KPIs and individual goals.
Design training programs focused on logistics safety, compliance, operations excellence, and leadership development.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement
Build employee engagement initiatives across logistics teams to improve retention and productivity.
Address employee issues and grievances promptly, fostering a positive work environment.
5. HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure HR policies, attendance, payroll, and statutory compliance adhere to Indian labor laws.
Maintain accurate HR records, dashboards, and HRIS data.
6. Culture & Change Management
Promote Master Group's culture of continuous improvement, performance excellence, and operational discipline in logistics units.
Support change initiatives tied to process enhancements and workforce transformations.
7. Logistics-Specific HR Support
Understand typical logistics work patterns (e.g., shift work, field staff requirements, contract labor nuances).
Integrate logistics performance standards into HR practices (safety protocols, efficiency measures).
Collaborate with operations to align HR initiatives with supply chain peaks & fluctuations.
QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Logistics or supply chain certification is a plus.
Experience
5-10+ years
of HR experience, with at least
2 years
in HR roles supporting logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy design.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of logistics operations and workforce requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in HR systems/HRIS and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in fast-paced, field-oriented environments.
Knowledge of Indian labor laws and compliance requirements.
Preferred Attributes
Experience driving HR transformation or process improvement.
Prior exposure to talent development and competency frameworks in logistics.
Strategic mindset with operational execution capability.
