Job Summary
The Part-Time HR Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will handle key HR functions, including scheduling interviews, negotiating salaries, preparing and sending job offers, drafting offer letters, and facilitating seamless onboarding for new hires. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing HR tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Support
:
Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Communicate with candidates to provide updates, gather necessary information, and maintain a positive candidate experience.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and candidate profiles.
Salary Negotiation
:
Engage in salary negotiations with candidates, balancing candidate expectations with company budget constraints.
Provide guidance to hiring managers on competitive salary offers based on market research and internal equity.
Offer Letter Preparation and Distribution
:
Draft clear, professional, and accurate offer letters tailored to each candidate.
Send job offers to selected candidates and follow up to ensure timely acceptance.
Address candidate questions regarding offer terms, benefits, and other employment details.
Onboarding Support
:
Facilitate the onboarding process by preparing necessary documentation, coordinating with IT and other departments for setup, and ensuring new hires are welcomed and integrated effectively.
Conduct initial onboarding sessions to familiarize new employees with company policies, culture, and expectations.
Track and manage onboarding progress to ensure compliance with HR processes and legal requirements.
Administrative and Compliance Tasks
:
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
Assist with HR-related inquiries from candidates and employees.
Support other HR initiatives as needed, such as employee engagement or policy updates.
Qualifications
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or talent acquisition.
Proven experience in scheduling interviews, negotiating salaries, and preparing offer letters.
Familiarity with onboarding processes and HR compliance requirements.
Skills and Competencies
:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and internal stakeholders.
Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in HR software (e.g., ATS systems like Greenhouse or Workable), Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
:

Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
