Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Human Resources (HR) Manager
to lead our HR department. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes for both the medical college and the hospital. This role is crucial for managing our most valuable asset--our people. You will be tasked with developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with our overall mission and promote a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing:
Lead the entire recruitment cycle for all levels of staff (clinical, non-clinical, and academic), from sourcing and interviewing to hiring and onboarding.
Develop and implement effective strategies to attract top talent in the competitive healthcare and education sectors.
Oversee the credentialing and background verification process for all new hires.
Employee Relations:
Serve as the primary contact for all employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages open communication and collaboration.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints and ensure timely and fair resolutions.
Policy Development and Compliance:
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with Indian labor laws and healthcare regulations (e.g., NABH standards).
Ensure the employee handbook is up-to-date and communicated to all staff.
Maintain all HR records and documentation with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy.
Performance Management and Development:
Manage the employee performance appraisal system to drive continuous improvement.
Identify training needs and create or procure professional development programs for staff at all levels.
Implement succession planning to ensure leadership continuity.
Compensation and Benefits:
Administer and manage employee compensation, payroll, and benefits programs.
Conduct periodic salary surveys and analysis to ensure our pay scales are competitive and equitable.
Manage relationships with benefits vendors and ensure employees are well-informed about their packages.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
An
MBA
or a Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Experience:
A minimum of
5-7 years
of progressive HR experience, with at least
2-3 years
in a managerial role.
Experience in a hospital, healthcare system, or educational institution is strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
In-depth knowledge of
Indian labor laws
, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
Proven experience in managing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
