We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team in
Chennai, India
. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment and labor laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of human capital management to support our organization's strategic goals.
This position is working in-person in our Chennai, India location.
Duties
Manage the full cycle of talent acquisition, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
Administer employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the company culture.
Oversee performance management processes, including employee evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Ensure compliance with FMLA, OSHA regulations, and other employment laws.
Facilitate change management initiatives to support organizational growth and adaptation.
Handle employee relations issues effectively, promoting a positive workplace environment.
Maintain HRIS systems (such as Workday, Paychex, or ADP) for accurate data entry and workforce management.
Assist in benefits administration and affirmative action planning to ensure equitable access to resources.
Support succession planning efforts by identifying high-potential employees for future leadership roles.
Utilize ATS tools (like Lever or iCIMS) for efficient recruitment processes and candidate tracking.
Conduct data collection and analysis to inform strategic planning decisions within the HR department.
Requirements
Proven experience in human resources management with a focus on talent management and employee relations.
Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, including FMLA and workers' compensation regulations.
Familiarity with project management principles in an HR context.
Proficiency in HRIS systems such as Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or Ceridian is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization.
Experience with social media management for recruitment purposes is a plus.
Administrative experience in an HR setting is highly desirable.
Ability to manage conflict effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Knowledge of performance management systems and organization design principles.
