Design and implement recruitment strategies to prioritize local hiring and provide job opportunities to empower the communities of Havelock Island and the Andamans.
Manage the entire recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding new employees, ensuring they understand the CGH Earth core values.
Maintain strong relationships with local educational institutions and community leaders to build a sustainable local talent pipeline.
B. Training, Development, & Compliance
Plan and execute mandatory and specialized staff training programs, including first aid, fire safety, cyclone awareness, and hospitality service standards.
Develop and deliver orientation programs that immerse new hires in the property's philosophy on Environmental Conservation (e.g., waste management, plastic reduction, protecting marine life) and Eco-Tourism practices.
Ensure all HR policies, documentation, and operational procedures are in full compliance with local labour laws and CGH Earth corporate standards.
C. Employee Relations & Culture
Act as a trusted point of contact for all employees, managing grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution in a fair, consistent, and respectful manner.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and community-focused work environment, reflective of the company's ethos.
Coordinate staff participation in internal and external activities.
D. Administration & Payroll
Manage all HR administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate employee records, attendance, leave management, and work permits (if applicable).
Process monthly payroll and statutory contributions accurately and on time.
Prepare regular HR reports and metrics for the General Manager and Corporate HR.
5. Qualifications & Requirements
Education :
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience :
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or Executive, preferably within the hospitality industry. Experience in remote locations or with resorts that have a strong focus on sustainability is highly desirable.
Skills :
Excellent knowledge of Indian labour laws, specifically those applicable to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and conflict resolution skills.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Hindi and/or local Andaman languages is a significant advantage.
