Summary:
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new employees, as well as the termination of employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment law and be able to effectively enforce company policies and procedures.
Job description & Responsibilities:
Administer and enforce company policies and procedures related to hiring, firing, and employee relations.
Conduct job analyses and develop job descriptions.
Screen and interview candidates for open positions.
Make hiring recommendations to the Director of Human Resources.
Onboard new employees and provide them with orientation and training.
Manage employee records and benefits.
Investigate employee complaints and resolve workplace disputes.
Administer disciplinary procedures and terminations.
Stay up-to-date on employment law and best practices.
Design and update job descriptions
Source potential candidates from various online channels
Screen incoming resumes and application forms
Interview candidates (via phone, video and in-person)
Provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers
Monitor key HR metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and source of hire.
Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs.
Act as a consultant to new hires and help them onboard.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
3-6 years of experience in human resources, preferably with a focus on employee relations.
Strong understanding of employment law.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Education:
UG: Any Graduate
PG: MBA/PGDM in HR
