We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented
HR Manager
to lead core HR functions. The role includes managing end-to-end HR operations such as employee engagement, compliance, HR policy implementation, and payroll processing. This is a critical role that ensures smooth HR operations while maintaining statutory compliance and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Planning
Develop and implement strategic HR plans aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with leadership to identify HR priorities and design initiatives to support organizational goals.
Lead organizational development efforts including change management, culture building, and talent development.
Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions and improve HR effectiveness.
Design and implement succession planning and leadership development programs.
Monitor external trends and best practices in strategic HR management.
Training & Development:
Develop and execute comprehensive training strategies aligned with business objectives.
Conduct training needs assessments through performance evaluations, surveys, and consultation with managers.
Manage onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
Create and maintain an annual training calendar in coordination with department heads.
Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
Maintain accurate training records including attendance, certifications, and feedback.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into training programs.
Manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants.
Performance Management
Design and implement performance appraisal frameworks and policies.
Coordinate and manage the annual performance review cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and year-end evaluations.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure performance metrics are aligned with organizational objectives.
Train managers and employees on performance management tools and best practices.
Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Facilitate feedback sessions and support managers in conducting effective performance discussions.
Ensure timely documentation and communication of appraisal outcomes.
Support the development of performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling performance-related information.
Attendance & leave Management:
Monitor daily employee attendance using biometric system.
Track and report late arrivals, early departures, and absenteeism.
Maintain and update leave records for all employees in the HRIS system.
Coordinate with department managers to approve or reject leave requests.
Ensure accurate leave balance calculations and timely updates.
Generate periodic attendance and leave reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
Support audits and inspections by providing accurate attendance and leave documentation.
Payroll Management:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees in coordination with the finance department.
Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with compensation regulations and labor laws.
Maintain and update employee compensation records in HRIS and payroll systems.
Ensure timely salary disbursements, reimbursements, bonuses, and other compensation components.
Generate payroll reports and summaries for management review.
Resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Coordinate with auditors and government agencies during inspections and audits.
Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll data.
HR Operations & Compliance:
Maintain and update employee records in HRIS.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations (e.g., Shops & Establishment Act, Minimum Wages Act, etc.).
Oversee employee benefits administration including insurance and statutory benefits.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports.
Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure alignment on compliance matters.
Track and report compliance metrics and recommend improvements.
Ensure timely communication of policy updates to employees.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
Design and implement employee engagement strategies and programs to promote a positive workplace culture.
Organize and oversee employee engagement activities such as town halls, team-building events, and recognition programs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances and conflict resolution.
Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions in response to employee concerns.
Monitor employee morale and satisfaction through surveys, feedback sessions, and other tools.
Analyze attrition trends and develop strategies to improve employee retention.
Collaborate with department heads to address employee issues and improve team dynamics.
Maintain documentation of employee relations cases and ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Support change management initiatives and promote transparent communication across the organization.
HR Policy & Process Improvement:
Develop, review, and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks in alignment with legal requirements and organizational objectives.
Conduct regular audits of HR processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent policy application and communication.
Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations and ensure timely updates to HR policies.
Lead initiatives to automate and streamline HR processes for improved efficiency.
Provide training and guidance to HR staff and managers on policy implementation and compliance.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on policy effectiveness and improvement opportunities.
Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for organizational improvement.
Coordinate with finance team to process final settlements, including salary, benefits, and reimbursements.
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of exit procedures in HRIS systems.
Analyze exit interview data and attrition trends to provide actionable insights to leadership.
Maintain compliance with labor laws and internal policies during the exit process.
Support retention initiatives by identifying common reasons for employee turnover.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees throughout the exit process.
Qualifications & Skills:
MBA in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
6 plus years of experience in HR.
In-depth knowledge of Indian labour laws, payroll processes, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in MS Excel, payroll software, and HRMS tools (e.g., GreytHR).
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and integrity in managing sensitive information.

Exposure to HR analytics or automation tools.
