Partner with state business heads and hiring managers to understand manpower requirements across Tamil Nadu.
Coordinate with Talent Acquisition team to ensure timely hiring of frontline, mid-level, and leadership roles.
Monitor local hiring channels in Tamil Nadu (campus, walk-ins, consultants, referrals).
Ensure smooth onboarding and induction for new employees, aligning them with Pragati Finserv culture.
2. Employee Engagement & Retention
Design and implement state-specific engagement initiatives to improve employee morale and reduce attrition.
Conduct regular branch visits in Tamil Nadu to connect with employees and address concerns.
Run pulse surveys, skip-level meetings, and engagement forums to capture employee feedback.
Collaborate with line managers to resolve grievances and ensure a healthy workplace culture.
3. Performance Management & Capability Building
Drive goal-setting, performance review, and appraisal process for Tamil Nadu employees.
Partner with the L&D team to identify training needs and facilitate capability-building programs.
Work with business leaders to coach managers on performance conversations and people management.
4. HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure timely rollout and adherence to HR policies, SOPs, and guidelines across Tamil Nadu branches.
Oversee payroll inputs, attendance, and leave management for state employees.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Shops & Establishments, CLRA, Labour Laws, etc.) in Tamil Nadu.
Liaise with local statutory bodies and ensure documentation/audits are completed as per law.
5. Strategic HR Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to Tamil Nadu leadership team on HR strategy and workforce planning.
Provide HR insights (attrition trends, manpower analytics, engagement scores) to business stakeholders.
Drive organizational change management initiatives at the state level.
Collaborate with HO HR CoEs (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Rewards, HR Ops) for seamless HR delivery.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Tamil Nadu employment laws and statutory compliances.
Ability to partner with business leaders and influence decision-making.
Excellent communication skills in
Tamil, English, and Hindi (preferred)
.
Hands-on experience in employee relations and grievance handling.
Analytical mindset with ability to use HR metrics for problem-solving.
Willingness to travel frequently across Tamil Nadu branches.
Qualifications & Experience:
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field.
4-5 years of HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in an HRBP or regional HR role.
Exposure to BFSI/NBFC/MFI sector will be an added advantage.
Prior experience handling Tamil Nadu geography preferred.
Success Metrics (KPIs):
Reduction in attrition rates in Tamil Nadu.
Timely closure of critical positions.
Employee engagement scores (survey results, feedback).
Compliance audit scores for the state.
Manager capability improvement (feedback from business).
