The HR Business Partner (HRBP) - Manufacturing plays a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management at manufacturing sites. This role serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acts as an employee champion, and drives HR initiatives that improve organizational performance, employee engagement, and workforce capability.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Partner with plant leadership to understand business needs and develop HR strategies that support manufacturing goals.
+ Act as a change agent to drive organizational transformation and continuous improvement in people practices.
+ Support recruitment and talent acquisition strategies for production, engineering, and support functions.
+ Lead employee relations efforts by addressing demands, grievances, and other HR issues in a timely and legally compliant manner.
+ Manage performance management, coaching, and development processes for plant employees and supervisors.
+ Ensure compliance with labour laws, health & safety regulations, and internal HR policies.
+ Drive employee engagement initiatives, workforce planning, and retention strategies.
+ Conduct regular analysis of HR metrics (e.g., absenteeism, turnover, productivity) and recommend data-driven solutions.
+ Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires.
+ Provide guidance on organizational design, succession planning, and leadership development.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
+ 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
+ Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
+ Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement culture is an advantage.
+ Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
+ Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Work Environment:
+ Role is primarily based on-site at a manufacturing plant.
+ Occasional travel to other plant sites or corporate offices may be required.
+ Involves exposure to shop floor environments and collaboration with production teams.
