About the team
As a member of the broader Global Payroll Team, the individual would lead the processing of the monthly payroll for the Gurugram, India office. In addition, they would support the payroll processing for other APAC payrolls (Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and South Korea). The role is a full time role based in Gurugram and operates in a 4 day onsite and 1 day flexible work arrangement.
About the role
Maintaining payroll processing records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
Coordinating payroll information related to payroll demographics, maternity, sick leave, Salary Sacrifice, Pension and other benefits in kind in coordination with the Benefits team, HR, and other stakeholders
Documenting payroll processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
Suggesting process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
Providing prompt and complete responses to employees and vendors on payroll-related questions
Working closely with Treasury Department to forecast cash requirements to fund payrolls and ensure payroll funding is executed to payroll vendors and/or employees on time
Assisting Accounting colleagues with questions related to payroll journal entries and account reconciliations
Notifying management of errors and problems, proposes solutions, and work with management to implement solutions that balance the interest of employee and firm
Key Experiences and Qualifications
Candidates must have strong, polished communication skills, a strong desire to deliver impeccable customer service, and must be able to interact professionally with all levels of the organization. Candidates will also have strong attention to detail, basic project management skills, and the ability to multi-task. Must be able to prioritize assignments with competing deadlines and work independently at times.
Specific Criteria Include
Minimum payroll experience of 5 years
Bachelor's degree preferred
Practical, hands-on Payroll processing experience, preferably across multiple countries
Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups etc.)
Strong analytical and problem solving/judgment skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with Payroll-related systems
Customer service orientation and ability to communicate with various levels of management
Comfortable working in an environment that has seasonal peaks and calendar year-end deliverables
