Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Ensure a safe workplace without risk to health.
2. Ensure that all environment, health & safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
3. Ensure that organization meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to occupational health and safety and environment.
4. Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventive measures.
5. Coordinate and carry out statutory environment pollution tests.
6. Report any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy to the top management.
7. Establish a structured programme of EHS training throughout the company according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
8. Organize safety committee meetings, coordinate the development of EHS policies, systems of work and procedures with the safety committee
9. Ensure that safety inspections and fire drills are carried out, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
10. Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
11. Manage the certification audits of the environmental management system and the occupational health and safety management system
12. Ensure personnel hygiene and contamination control procedures are followed in the Lab at all times. Carry out hygeine inspections and report non-compliances.
13. Liaise with external agencies to ensure safe removal and disposal of wastes according to statutory regulations.
14. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Preferred Skills & Experience





Recognized B.Tech / B.E in Any Discipline & Degree/ Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by State Govt. with minimum 2 years of experience in Supervisory role in Factory
OR
Recognized Diploma in Engg./Tech. & Degree / Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by State Govt. with minimum 5 years of experience in Supervisory role in Factory
OR
Recognized Degree in Physics or Chemistry & Degree/ Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by State Govt. with minimum 5 years of experience in Supervisory role in Factory
