DIPLOMA IN INDUSTRIAL SAFETY MANAGEMENT




To develop, implement, and monitor effective health, safety, and environmental management systems ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry standards. The role focuses on risk management, accident prevention, and fostering a strong safety culture across the Project Sites.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & System Development

Formulate and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with local laws, international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001), and client requirements.

Risk Management & Compliance

Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and environmental impact analysis. Ensure statutory compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors.

Monitoring & Reporting

Track and report on HSE performance indicators (accidents, incidents, near misses, LTIs). Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

Training & Awareness

Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and refresher training. Promote awareness of safe working practices and environmental protection.

Emergency Preparedness

Develop and implement emergency response and disaster management plans. Conduct regular fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency exercises.

Environmental Management

Monitor waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices. Implement energy-saving, waste reduction, and resource optimization programs.

Team Leadership

Lead HSE officers and site safety supervisors. Drive safety culture improvement initiatives.

Key Skills and Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis. Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent (mandatory/preferred). Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 management systems * Experience in sectors like construction, oil & gas, power, manufacturing, or heavy industries.
