Job Description

Purpose of Position







The Job incumbent is responsible to develop, direct and deliver HSE (Industrial Safety Management) related services which include Industrial HSE Management and Services, Safety Audits, Safety Training, Risk Assessments (Qualitative), Construction Safety Services. The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group Policy(ies)

Major Responsibilities



Network Coordination & animation

Lead and animate the HSE network in the Group/Zone /Division Participate in the recruitment, training and assessment of HSE resources Coordinate BV HSE tasks (Management System, Audit & reports)

Design and maintain the integrated HSE Management Systems

Follow-up and report HSE KPI's to management Identification of high risk activities and ensure that processes are in place to protect employees Identify and disseminate best practices within the Group/Division/Zone Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment is correctly identified, fit for purpose and correctly maintained for all Group/Division/Zone activities. Support entities maintain existing HSE programs (certified or not) Lead and coordinate internal and external audit programs

Prevention Management

Introduction of incident risk management tools & techniques Increase awareness of costs and risks of poor performance and non-compliance Periodic monitoring/verification of the application of safety procedures in the field by BV inspectors. Develop training module

Maintain and improve HSE performance

Implement HSE Policy (Corporate/Division/Zone) Advise the group/division/zone senior management team for compliance to respective HSE regulatory requirements Implement Group priorities, train and support management Complete analysis (complaints, accident) and propose corrective actions with management Track and report HSE performance to Corporate/Division/Zone HSE Management.

Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)





HSE KPIs - safety performance, energy use minimization, paper consumption etc Review quality and effectiveness of internal HSE audits executed (completeness, correctness, timing, documentation, etc.) Analysis and action plan

Qualification and Experience



B.E/ B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical with 12 to 15 years' experience with PG Diploma in Industrial Safety Experience in tailoring and implementing HSE management systems for a large organizations preferably at the corporate level. Management degree will be an added advantage but not mandatory.

Should be a 'Go to Market' attitude personnel with ability to connect people, client contacts at higher level & should be able to convert contacts into business. Excellent interpersonal skills Should have good leadership abilities and skills. Should be able to manage a team under him. Should have a pleasing personality * Good communication and presentation skills.
