Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant with 2 years of experience to support our payroll department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, and responding to employee queries related to compensation.

Location: Perungudi, chennai

Salary: 18000 / 20000 Take Home (Fixed)

shift: Rotational

Preference: Male

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with processing payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, timesheets, and deductions Support the preparation and distribution of payslips and reports Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies Address employee questions related to payroll, leave, and deductions Coordinate with HR and Finance for payroll-related changes and reports Help with year-end payroll processes, such as tax forms and reconciliations Update payroll systems with new hire, termination, and change-of-status information

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a payroll or accounting support role Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, Paychex, or similar) Basic knowledge of employment laws and tax regulations Strong Excel and data entry skills High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Excellent organizational and communication skills
