Inviting Applications for the role of

Management Trainee - US Compensation Operations

Responsibilities

1.

Compensation Processing & Support

Support day-to-day US compensation activities including new hire compensation setup, salary updates, job change entries, and basic validations.

Assist in entering compensation-related data accurately in HRIS (Workday/SuccessFactors).

Ensure adherence to compensation guidelines, pay structures, and governance standards.

2.

Audit, Validation & Quality Checks

Perform preliminary audits on compensation transactions for accuracy and completeness.

Validate pay components, job codes, and basic compensation triggers before workflow submission.

Maintain documentation required for compliance reviews and audit readiness.


3.

Reporting & Data Management

Support preparation of weekly/monthly reports on compensation transactions.

Assist in basic data analysis such as deviations, missing data, and exception identification.

Help the team with compensation cycle templates, data formatting, and error checks.


4.

Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with internal team members, US HR partners, and recruiters to clarify data or resolve simple compensation queries.

Coordinate with Payroll teams for follow-ups, data issues, and validation checks.

Participate in process improvement discussions and propose ideas to streamline data accuracy and workflow efficiency.


Minimum Qualifications

Graduate/Post-graduate in HR, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or related field.

Good number of relevant years of experience (internships/projects acceptable) in HR operations, compensation, payroll, or data management.

Basic understanding of HR processes, US payroll/compensation concepts (preferred but trainable).


Preferred Qualifications / Skills

Working knowledge of MS Excel -- VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formatting, validations.

Exposure to HRIS such as Workday/SuccessFactors (added advantage).

Experience/internship in shared services or US HR operations preferred.

Interest in compensation, HR analytics, and data-driven HR processes

.

Strong attention to detail and reliability in managing sensitive pay data.

Good communication skills and willingness to coordinate with global stakeholders.

Ability to learn quickly, adapt to structured processes, and work under US timelines.

Analytical mindset with curiosity to understand data patterns and root causes.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and discipline in handling employee data
