Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Recruiter with a strong background in the steel industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment processes, talent acquisition strategies, and ensuring a robust workforce pipeline for our steel plant operations. A deep understanding of technical roles, plant manpower requirements, and industry-specific recruitment dynamics is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle recruitment for blue-collar, white-collar, and technical positions across departments such as production, maintenance, safety, quality, and engineering.
Source, screen, interview, and shortlist candidates through various channels - job portals, employee referrals, recruitment agencies, social media, etc.
Collaborate with department heads to understand job requirements, workforce planning, and skill matrix alignment.
Maintain and update candidate databases and prepare regular recruitment dashboards and MIS reports.
Coordinate and conduct campus drives, walk-ins, and job fairs.
Ensure adherence to hiring SLAs and organizational recruitment policies.
Support onboarding and induction processes in coordination with the HR operations team.
Keep abreast of market trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring strategies in the steel sector.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3-7 years of experience in recruitment, specifically in the steel/manufacturing/heavy engineering sector.
Strong understanding of technical roles in steel plant operations (e.g., mechanical, electrical, metallurgy, rolling mill, blast furnace, etc.)
Familiarity with compliance requirements, labor laws, and contractual manpower hiring.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in MS Office, ATS software, and recruitment tools.
