An
HR Payroll
role involves managing the complete employee payment cycle: collecting time/attendance, calculating wages, deductions (taxes, benefits), processing pay via direct deposit/checks, and ensuring legal compliance, all while maintaining confidential records, addressing employee queries, and generating essential reports for management. Key duties blend HR data (new hires, status changes) with financial accuracy (tax filings, audits), requiring strong organizational, software, and communication skills to coordinate with HR/Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Compile hours, process salaries, compute deductions (benefits, taxes, loans), and disburse pay accurately and on time.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate employee records, update master payroll files with changes (new hires, terminations, salary updates).
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies; process tax forms (like P45s).
Employee Support:
Act as a liaison, answering staff questions about pay, benefits, deductions, and time records.
Reporting:
Generate various reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for management, including gross pay, hours, and tax summaries.
Coordination:
Work with HR on leave requests, new employee data, and with Finance on reconciliations.
