Position: HR Manager - Plant

Location: Uluberia, Howrah

Experience: 8+ years in HR (preferably in manufacturing/plant operations)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to oversee all HR and administrative functions at our client Uluberia plant. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth plant operations, fostering a positive work environment, and acting as the "eyes and ears" of the company on the ground. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, problem solver, and trusted link between management and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day HR activities at the plant to ensure uninterrupted operations. Act as a bridge between management and staff, ensuring effective communication and alignment. Handle employee relations, grievance redressal, and conflict resolution. Ensure manpower availability and resource management in coordination with department heads. Monitor attendance, leave management, and compliance with labour laws. Support plant administration functions as required (security, housekeeping, canteen, transport, etc.). Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a collaborative work culture. Prepare and maintain HR reports for management review.
Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 8 years' experience in HR, with at least 3-5 years in a plant or manufacturing setup. Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and industrial relations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
