Job Description

Job Summary



We are looking for an experienced and proactive

HR Manager

to manage end-to-end human resource functions for our national news channel. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of HR policies, recruitment, employee relations, labor laws, and compliance, with experience in handling both office and field staff.

Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resource Management



Develop, implement, and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook. Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, statutory requirements, and company regulations. Handle employee lifecycle management (joining to exit).

Recruitment & Staffing



Manage end-to-end recruitment for editorial, technical, production, digital, and support departments. Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning. Screen profiles, conduct interviews, issue offer letters, appointment letters, and contracts.

Employee Relations & Discipline



Address employee grievances and resolve workplace issues. Handle disciplinary actions, show-cause notices, warning letters, and termination processes. Ensure professional conduct and workplace ethics.

Attendance & Payroll Coordination



Monitor attendance, leave records, shift schedules, and working hours. Coordinate with accounts for salary processing, deductions, and increments. Manage probation confirmations and performance-based appraisals.

Performance Management



Design and implement performance appraisal systems. Coordinate KPI-based evaluations with department heads. Support career development and training initiatives.

Compliance & Documentation



Maintain employee records, files, and HR MIS. Handle statutory compliance (PF, ESI, gratuity, bonus, etc.). Manage background verification and experience/relieving letters.

Exit Management



Conduct exit interviews. Ensure proper handover and clearance. Handle absconding cases and legal documentation when required.

Required Qualifications



MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent. Minimum

5-8 years of experience

as HR Manager / Senior HR role. Experience in

media, news channel, or broadcasting industry

preferred. Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR best practices.

Skills & Competencies



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Proficient in MS Office and HR software/tools. Ability to manage multiple departments and large workforce.

Working Hours



Office Timing:

10:00 AM to 07:00 PM
