Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing HR Manager who is structured, people-focused, and eager to build scalable HR systems in a factory-led environment. This role is responsible for establishing and strengthening HR operations across manufacturing and supporting functions while ensuring compliance, workforce stability, and employee engagement. You will work closely with plant leadership and corporate stakeholders to align people practices with business outcomes and operational realities. The role offers exposure to cross-brand collaboration and HR projects spanning manufacturing, consumer, and technology teams.
This role reports to the Senior Leadership Team and is based at our Manufacturing Plant in Sriperumbudur, with on-site collaboration expected.

Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy and Planning:
Build the HR department from the ground up with a startup mindset and entrepreneurial approach
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the manufacturing goals and objectives
Work closely with senior management to understand business needs and provide HR support to achieve organizational success
Talent Acquisition & Management:
Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle using ATS across manufacturing, marketing, data and IT functions
Collaborate with department heads on staffing requirements and ensure seamless onboarding
Generate recruitment metrics and pipeline reports using project management tools
Employee Relations:
Mediate workplace conflicts with fairness and cultural sensitivity across diverse employee groups
Build employee relations programs that foster trust, engagement, and open communication
Performance Management:
Implement performance evaluation systems using HR software and provide coaching to managers
Design career progression pathways and create performance analytics reports.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs
Support career development initiatives for manufacturing staff
Compensation and Benefits:
Manage employee benefits programs (PF, ESI, gratuity, health insurance) and conduct salary benchmarking
Oversee payroll, annual compensation reviews and establish compensation structures by ensuring competitive and fair compensation practices
Legal Compliance:
Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
Keep abreast of changes in employment legislation and make necessary adjustments to policies and practices
Health and Safety:
Collaborate with safety and health teams to promote a safe working environment
Ensure factory compliance with occupational health and safety standards
Engagement & Retention:
Launch employee engagement programs and conduct satisfaction surveys
Develop retention strategies for critical talent and analyze turnover data
Build engagement initiatives including recognition programs and team events
HR Systems, Project Management & Reporting:
Maintain HRIS and use project management tools (Asana, Trello, ClickUp) to track HR initiatives
Generate regular HR metrics reports on headcount, attrition, time-to-fill, and training completion
Create monthly/quarterly status reports and use data analytics to drive HR decision-making
Policy Development & Documentation
Develop comprehensive HR policies, employee handbooks, and Code of Conduct from scratch
Write clear, enforceable workplace policies covering attendance, leave, disciplinary actions, and grievances
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree strongly preferred.
Languages: Bilingual fluency in English and Tamil (written and spoken).
Experience:
5-7 years in HR management roles with demonstrated career progression.
Experience in startup or growth-stage companies is highly valued, including the ability to build HR functions from scratch.
Track record of establishing HR departments, creating policies, and implementing HR frameworks.
Proven experience in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. (Highly Preferred)
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Hands-on experience with HRIS/ATS software.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or ClickUp.
Knowledge & Compliance: Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and factory compliance requirements.
