Job Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions in the hospital, including recruitment, onboarding, statutory compliance, employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation. The role ensures smooth HR operations and supports hospital management in creating a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions.
Coordinate with HODs to understand manpower needs.
Conduct interviews, shortlist candidates, and issue offer letters.
Ensure proper joining formalities, documentation, biometric registration, and induction.
2. Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely submission of
ESI, PF, Gratuity, Bonus, and other statutory requirements
.
Maintain employee records and ensure audits are completed on time.
Keep updated with labour laws applicable to hospitals.
3. Attendance, Payroll & HR Operations
Oversee daily attendance, leave management, shifts, and weekly-off schedules.
Coordinate payroll inputs (late reports, OT, leave, LOP, new joiners & resignations).
Maintain employee files and HR databases accurately.
4. Employee Relations & Discipline
Handle employee grievances professionally and maintain a positive work environment.
Conduct counselling, issue warning letters/memos when required.
Ensure adherence to hospital rules, policies, and code of conduct.
5. Training & Development
Identify training needs for clinical and non-clinical staff.
Organize training programs related to soft skills, patient care, safety, and compliance.
Maintain training records.
6. Performance Management
Assist in appraisals, performance evaluations, and increment processes.
Work with HODs to monitor employee performance and productivity.
7. HR Policy & Administration
Implement and update HR policies and SOPs.
Support hospital management in organizational development initiatives.
Manage uniforms, ID cards, attendance devices, and HR-related procurement.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree / MBA in HR or relevant field.
3-7 years of HR experience (hospital HR preferred).
Strong knowledge of labour laws & statutory compliance.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle pressure and multi-task in a busy hospital environment.
Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS, and attendance systems.
