is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, statutory compliance, and workforce development. The role ensures that HR policies and practices support the organization's goals, promote a positive workplace culture, and comply with all labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Staffing
Plan and execute recruitment for staff, supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor employees.
Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements.
Manage job postings, candidate shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding.
Maintain employee records and handle joining formalities.
2. Employee Relations & Welfare
Build and maintain a healthy and positive work culture across all levels.
Address employee grievances and ensure transparent communication.
Implement employee engagement, welfare, and motivational programs.
Manage attendance, leave, and disciplinary procedures as per company policy.
3. Training & Development
Identify training needs across departments.
Organize skill development, behavioral, and technical training programs.
Maintain training records and assess effectiveness.
4. Performance Management
Drive annual and mid-term performance appraisal processes.
Assist management in setting KPIs/KRAs and evaluating performance.
Support reward and recognition programs for high performers.
5. Compliance & Administration
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws (Factories Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, etc.).
Liaise with government bodies and auditors for statutory inspections and filings.
Manage payroll inputs, attendance records, and employee benefits administration.
Maintain HRMIS/ERP data for employee records and reports.
6. Policy & Process Management
Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
Implement and monitor adherence to company HR policies.
Support management in manpower planning and organizational restructuring.
7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Support
Collaborate with the safety department to promote workplace safety and compliance.
Ensure employees are trained and aware of HSE standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
MBA / Postgraduate in HR or Personnel Management (or equivalent).
4-8 years of HR experience, preferably in a
manufacturing / foundry / engineering industry
.
Strong knowledge of
labor laws, statutory compliance, and factory HR practices
.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and HR software / ERP systems.
Good leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
