The Role:
This is a ground-floor opportunity to build the HR function from scratch. As our first dedicated People & Culture Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping our company culture, developing our team, and creating the systems that will allow us to scale sustainably. You will work directly with the owners to translate business goals into people strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies to attract and hire skilled production, technical, and administrative staff.
Design and implement a structured onboarding process that integrates new hires into our company culture and operations.
Create and manage performance review systems, goal setting, and professional development plans.
Act as a trusted advisor and mediator, addressing employee relations issues with empathy and fairness.
Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all federal and state labor laws.
Champion our company culture by organizing engagement initiatives, recognizing excellence, and fostering a positive and safe work environment.
Analyze compensation and benefits benchmarks to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or Manager,
with a strong preference for experience in manufacturing or a related industrial setting.
Proven experience building HR processes and programs in a growing company.
Deep knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in [e.g., English and Hindi/Tamil].
A hands-on, proactive, and resourceful mindset. You are a builder who isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves.
Ability to earn trust and communicate effectively with everyone on the factory floor and in the office.
A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
