Role Summary: The HR Manager at Harsco Rail India plays a role in building people function\'s journey experience. Your mission is to ensure that the HR team provides the best employee experience to our employees. From attracting new talent to supporting our teams through the entire employee lifecycle as well as facilitating day-to-day work life. The role requires a high level of autonomy, pro-activeness, and empathy. Reporting to the Head of HR, EMEA, and APAC, the primary responsibility of this role will focus the talent management for Rail India, with small involvement for APAC. Key Job Responsibilities Work very closely with MD India and own the full employment lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding for Rail India. Manage HR Operations including payroll for Harsco Rail India by coordinating with teams in the Global Service Center. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, mitigating legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Administration of Blue-collared staff and 3rd party sub-contractors Salary & wage administration (maintain all necessary registers as per the statutory requirement - attendance, OT, grievance, Employee Welfare, Basic infrastructure like washrooms, drinking water, and first-aid kits) Administration of Contract Workforce (Agency Personnel) that includes overseeing their Payroll to ensure statutory compliance. Manage dispute resolutions involving unions, management, employees, or government agencies. Managing 3rd party / sub-contractors personnel-related issues (statutory compliances, site discipline) Contribute to building new initiatives to promote our culture and values: such as Engagement Surveys, Feedback, Recognition and Celebrations, and programs that improve the Employee Experience. Training & developmental activities of staff & workers. Advise the leadership team on sensitive employee relations information & cases in collaboration with legal or compliance and external stakeholders in a confidential, documented, and effective manner. Participate in the development and review of company policies, payroll, and people operations. Dive deep and analyze People Ops metrics to get to the root cause of any issues, as well as improve or identify best practices. Partner with managers to advise on work-related matters following regulations. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Business Management or Human Resources or Diploma in Industrial Relations is required. Relevant experience in handling similar roles in the past. +5 years of proven work experience working in payroll/ compensation. Experience in both national & international payroll. Excellent level of English and Hindi, strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization, other Indian languages will be a plus. Extended knowledge of HR practices, procedures, and HR laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and coaching skills engages and builds effective relationships across the organization. Work experience as an HR & Admin Officer, from a service-based manufacturing organization. Proficient with labor law in various states in India. Experience in working in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Very good organizational and interpersonal skills, ready to pull up sleeves and set things right. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Needed for the Role: Work from office from the Corporate office in Delhi. 50% travel - Willing to travel to various sites within India. Visiting Labor Offices / Factories Inspector Premises / Other Government Offices for Liaising and Maintaining Cordial Industrial Relations and Maintaining physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts and other contracts, including medical records.
