One of our esteemed Clients in Pune is a leading UK recruitment nursing agency, supplying temporary and permanent staff to both NHS and private healthcare providers.

Role Overview: This is a senior individual contributor role with full ownership of HR operations and statutory compliance for our India operations, working closely with UK-based leadership and stakeholders. This role exists to ensure business continuity, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold operational credibility.

You will be the single point of accountability for HR compliance and operations in India. This is not a policy design or people strategy role. It is a hands-on execution role for someone who understands that strong HR operations are business-critical.


Key Responsibilities:




HR Operations and Statutory Compliance



Own end-to-end HR operations for India, including onboarding, exits, documentation, contracts, and employee lifecycle management

Ensure full compliance with the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments Act and other applicable labour laws.

Manage PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, and statutory filings end-to-end.

Act as primary liaison with chartered accountants, labour consultants, and statutory authorities.

Coordinate payroll inputs, validations, reconciliations, and statutory reporting with finance and external partners

Maintain audit-ready records and statutory registers at all times.


HR Systems and Data Ownership



Own HRMS tools with data accuracy, reporting, access control, and documentation integrity.

Ensure all employee records and statutory documents are current and compliant.

Produce structured HR and compliance reports for India and UK leadership, International Stakeholder Management

Work directly with UK-based leadership on HR operations, compliance, and risk matters.

Support cross-border onboarding, role transitions, and documentation where required.

Communicate clearly and confidently with international stakeholders.



Process Control and Risk Management



Identify compliance gaps proactively and implement corrective actions.

Strengthen HR operations processes for scalability, consistency, and audit resilience.

Support internal and external audits with complete documentation and clear explanations.



What We're Looking For:



3 to 5 plus years of hands-on experience in HR operations and statutory compliance in India

Direct experience managing Shops Act, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and payroll coordination

Proven experience liaising independently with chartered accountants and labour consultants

Prior experience working with international clients or overseas stakeholders

Strong working knowledge of HRMS platforms and statutory documentation standards.
