We are seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Specialist with a solid background in the
construction industry
to manage and support the full scope of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, training, and safety programs. The ideal candidate understands the unique demands of construction environments, including union/non-union labor, project-based staffing, prevailing wage laws, and field workforce dynamics.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for field and office staff, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and background checks
minister HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry regulations
Support project teams with workforce planning, labor tracking, and manpower forecasting
Handle employee relations issues with field and administrative employees, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
Track certifications, licenses, and training requirements for field employees
Coordinate and document employee training, including OSHA safety programs and toolbox talks
Oversee benefits administration, including health insurance, workers' comp, and leave management
Support payroll and timekeeping processes in collaboration with accounting/payroll departments
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (physical and digital)
Experience with union labor relations and collective bargaining agreements
