Minimum 7 years in core HR functions within a manufacturing setup
Job Purpose
To lead and manage all aspects of the Human Resources function -- including recruitment, compliance, performance management, training & development, employee relations, and HR operations -- in alignment with business goals and statutory obligations of a manufacturing organization.
Oversee daily HR operations, including attendance, leave management, payroll inputs, and employee records.
Ensure smooth functioning of time office and HRMIS systems.
Maintain and manage all HR documentation and employee files.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Develop manpower plans in coordination with department heads.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for factory and staff positions -- from sourcing to onboarding.
Liaise with staffing agencies, technical institutes, and job portals.
Oversee contract labour management and related compliance.
3. Compliance & Statutory Requirements
Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, including:
Factories Act
Shops & Establishments Act
Contract Labour Act
ESI, PF, Gratuity, and related statutory provisions
Coordinate with external consultants and government departments for inspections and audits.
Maintain statutory registers and ensure proper documentation.
4. Performance Management & Appraisals
Implement and monitor KRA/KPI-based performance review systems.
Administer annual appraisal cycles and salary revision processes.
5. Employee Engagement & Industrial Relations
Foster a positive and engaging workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives.
Act as a bridge between management and shop-floor employees.
Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and union-related discussions, if applicable.
6. Training & Development
Conduct skill and competency evaluations.
Identify training needs and coordinate both technical and soft-skill training programs.
Monitor training effectiveness and maintain all training records.
7. HR Policies & Strategy
Formulate, review, and update HR policies in line with legal requirements and organizational needs.
Support management in organizational development, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA in HR / MSW / PGDHRM preferred.
Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and factory compliance.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive HR strategy effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with HR software is an advantage.
Work Environment
On-site role based at the manufacturing facility.
General shift timing.
Requires coordination with cross-functional teams, shop floor employees, and external agencies.
