Position Summary



The HR Manager - Labour Union Relations is responsible for developing and maintaining productive relationships between management and labour unions. The role ensures compliance with labour laws, manages collective bargaining agreements (CBA), resolves disputes, and supports positive employee relations to promote a stable and collaborative workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Labour Union & Employee Relations



Manage relationships with union leaders and worker representatives. Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and labour unions. Address grievances, conduct hearings, and support conflict resolution. Ensure timely and fair handling of employee complaints and disciplinary actions.

Collective Bargaining



Prepare for and lead collective bargaining negotiations. Analyze union demands, develop management proposals, and support decision-making. Ensure proper implementation and communication of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Monitor CBA compliance and interpret contract terms for management and employees.

Labour Law Compliance



Ensure compliance with all labour laws, regulations, and statutory requirements. Update management on changes in industrial relations laws and union policies. Represent the company in labour-related audits, inspections, and legal matters.

HR Policies & Strategy



Develop and implement employee relations policies and HR strategies aligned with labour regulations. Conduct risk assessments related to labour disputes and workforce issues. Support organizational change initiatives while mitigating employee relations challenges.

Performance & Workforce Management



Guide managers on disciplinary procedures, performance issues, and workforce planning. Conduct investigations related to misconduct, policy violations, or workplace disputes. Support training programs on workplace behaviour, policy awareness, and legal compliance.

Documentation & Reporting



Maintain accurate records of negotiations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and union interactions. Generate reports on union activities, labour trends, and employee relations metrics. Provide insights to management for decision-making.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience



Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labour Law, or related field. Master's Degree preferred (MBA HR / Master's in Labour Relations). 5-8 years of HR experience with at least 3 years focused on labour union relations.

Technical Skills



Strong understanding of labour laws, industrial relations, and dispute resolution. Experience in collective bargaining and contract interpretation. Proficient in HR documentation, audits, and compliance processes.

Soft Skills



Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. High emotional intelligence and diplomacy. Ability to build trust with both employees and management. Detail-oriented and capable of managing sensitive information.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
