HR Manager (Hospital) - Roles and Responsibilities



Act as a strategic partner between hospital management and staff. Oversee all aspects of human resources within the hospital, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and labor laws. Maintain a positive work culture that supports employee engagement, patient-centered care, and organizational growth. Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities



Recruitment & Staffing

Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for clinical and non-clinical staff. Ensure timely hiring to meet staffing needs in critical hospital departments. Develop talent pipelines and liaise with placement agencies and institutions.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Handle employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary procedures. Foster a healthy and positive workplace culture. Conduct employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and morale.

Training & Development

Organize training programs, workshops, and skill enhancement sessions for medical and administrative staff. Monitor compliance training (e.g., patient safety, ethics, infection control). Support leadership development within hospital departments.

Performance Management

Implement performance appraisal systems for hospital staff. Work with department heads to set KPIs and performance standards. Identify underperformance and design corrective action plans.

Compliance & Policy Management

Ensure adherence to healthcare labor regulations, hospital policies, and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI). Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections. Update HR policies in line with legal requirements and industry best practices.

Compensation & Benefits

Manage payroll, incentives, and employee benefits. Design compensation structures competitive with healthcare industry standards. Oversee leave management and attendance systems.

Workforce Planning & Retention

Forecast staffing needs in line with hospital expansion and patient load. Develop retention strategies to reduce staff turnover. Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends.

Health, Safety & Employee Well-being

Implement occupational health and safety standards for staff. Coordinate health check-ups, vaccination drives, and wellness programs. Ensure psychological support mechanisms for healthcare workers under stress.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
