HR Manager - Roles & Responsibilities (Healthcare Sector)Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management



Oversee end-to-end recruitment for doctors, nurses, paramedics, and administrative staff. Develop strategies to attract and retain skilled healthcare professionals. Ensure proper credentialing, licensing, and background checks for medical staff.

Employee Relations & Engagement



Act as a bridge between management and employees, resolving grievances and conflicts. Design and implement employee engagement programs to improve morale and retention. Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with healthcare ethics and standards.

Training & Development



Identify training needs specific to healthcare compliance, patient care, and soft skills. Organize workshops on clinical protocols, patient safety, and leadership development. Ensure continuous professional development (CPD) programs for medical staff.

Compliance & Policy Management



Ensure HR policies comply with healthcare regulations, labor laws, and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI). Maintain accurate employee records and manage audits effectively. Implement policies related to workplace safety, infection control, and shift scheduling.

Performance Management



Develop and manage performance appraisal systems suited for clinical and non-clinical roles. Provide guidance to line managers on performance improvement and disciplinary actions. Link employee performance to patient care outcomes and organizational goals.

Compensation & Benefits



Design competitive compensation packages to attract healthcare professionals. Manage payroll, incentives, and employee welfare programs. Benchmark benefits against healthcare industry standards.

Workforce Planning & Retention



Monitor staffing ratios to ensure adequate patient care coverage. Implement retention strategies for critical roles (e.g., ICU nurses, specialist doctors). Support succession planning for leadership and key clinical positions.
