Job Description

The

HR Manager - Factory

will manage end-to-end

human resources, statutory compliance, industrial relations, and workforce administration

for a

garment manufacturing unit

with approximately

500 employees

operating in a

single general shift

. The role requires

prior hands-on experience in a garment manufacturing factory

to effectively manage shop-floor HR, labour compliance, and workforce challenges.

Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources & Administration

Manage the complete

employee lifecycle

for ~500 employees in a

garment manufacturing environment

Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation Implement and strictly enforce HR policies, SOPs, and code of conduct Oversee factory administration such as canteen, transport, and housekeeping (as applicable)
Statutory Compliance & Legal

Ensure compliance with

Factories Act and applicable labour laws

relevant to garment factories Manage PF, ESIC, PT, gratuity, bonus, leave, and wage compliance Coordinate with labour consultants and government authorities Maintain statutory registers, filings, and audit readiness
Industrial Relations (IR)

Handle

worker relations, discipline, grievances, and conflict resolution

on the shop floor Issue warnings, charge sheets, domestic enquiries, and terminations as per legal procedures Prevent industrial disputes and maintain factory discipline Liaise with unions or worker representatives, if applicable
Recruitment & Manpower Planning

Plan and execute

blue-collar and staff recruitment

for garment production requirements Coordinate with contractors and manpower agencies Control absenteeism and attrition in a factory setup
Time Office & Payroll Coordination

Supervise attendance, overtime, and leave records under

general shift operations

Coordinate monthly payroll with finance/accounts Ensure compliance with

minimum wages and overtime regulations


Employee Engagement, Welfare & Compliance

Drive employee engagement, welfare, and retention initiatives Ensure health, safety, and welfare standards in line with factory norms Manage

POSH compliance

and committee functioning Support buyer and social compliance audits specific to garment manufacturing
Mandatory Requirements

Prior experience as HR Manager / Senior HR in a garment manufacturing company is mandatory

Proven experience handling

large blue-collar workforce (~500 employees)

Strong hands-on exposure to

factory HR, IR, and statutory compliance


Qualifications & Experience

Graduate / Postgraduate in HR, IR, Labour Law, or related field 8-15 years of HR experience,

with mandatory garment manufacturing factory exposure

Gujarat labour law knowledge preferred
Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in

Vapi / Silvassa / Surat garment manufacturing belt

Comfortable working in a factory and shop-floor environment Firm, fair, and people-oriented leadership style
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,466.83 - ₹57,071.84 per month

Work Location: In person
