Job Title: HR Manager--Plant & Corporate HR

Experience: 8-12 years in HR, with exposure to both manufacturing (plant) and corporate HR functions
Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced HR manager who will be responsible for managing HR functions at the plant level while also supporting corporate HR initiatives. The role requires a strong understanding of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, workforce management, and strategic HR operations. The candidate should be capable of handling a diverse workforce, supporting audits, and bridging corporate and plant-level HR execution effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Plant HR Responsibilities (India Labor Law-Focused)
Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
Ensure compliance with Factories Act, CLRA, ESI Act, EPF Act, Payment of Wages Act, Maternity Benefit Act, POSH, Shops & Establishments Act (if applicable)
Maintain statutory registers, returns, licenses, and coordinate inspections with government authorities
Handle liaison with labor departments, factories inspectorate, and external consultants
Time Office & Payroll Coordination
Supervise attendance, shift management, overtime, and leave records
Validate data for payroll inputs and process the payroll
Monitor contract workforce and ensure compliance with CLRA provisions
Employee Relations
Foster harmonious industrial relations and manage grievances effectively
Conduct domestic inquiries and disciplinary actions in line with ID Act
Engage with contractors and vendors to ensure proper onboarding and compliance
Welfare & Engagement
Drive employee engagement activities, safety programs, and welfare measures as per Factories Act
Organize health camps, employee communication forums, suggestion schemes, etc.
Ensure functioning of Internal Committee (POSH) and Safety Committee
Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment of blue-collar and staff at plant level
Coordinate with labor suppliers, training institutes, and local networks
Ensure smooth onboarding, documentation, and induction
Training & Development
Identify training needs in technical, safety, and compliance areas
Execute training plans in line with statutory requirements (first aid, fire safety, etc.)
Maintain training registers and records for audits
B. Corporate HR Responsibilities
Corporate HR Strategy & Reporting
Support implementation of corporate HR policies, SOPs, and HR automation tools
Submit HR reports: headcount, attrition, hiring status, and HR metrics
Performance Management
Coordinate the PMS cycle (goal setting, mid-year, annual reviews)
Train plant managers on KRA/KPI alignment and performance feedback
Assist in performance improvement planning and talent development
Sales & Business Review Participation
Attend monthly/quarterly business and sales review meetings
Share HR analytics, manpower status, hiring pipeline, and key challenges
Align HR plans with business targets and growth projections
Insurance & Benefits Administration
Manage group mediclaim, GPA, and other employee benefit schemes
Handle renewals, claims settlement, and employee communication
Liaise with insurance providers and ensure data accuracy
Audit & Risk Management
Prepare for external/internal audits (factory, ISO, client audits)
Ensure documentation and closure of HR-related non-conformities
Qualifications:
MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent from a recognized institute
8-12 years of HR experience with 3-5 years in plant HR operations
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, factory compliance, and HR systems
Experience in handling labor contractors, insurance administration, and audits
Key Skills:
In-depth knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance
Strong interpersonal and people management skills
Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS systems
Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
Ability to handle both operational and strategic HR roles
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
