To develop, manage and provide human resources support including recruiting, benefits, compensation, statutory compliances, employee relations, and training & development for Malabar Gold & Diamonds 8 Gold factories in India.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional :
Manage day to day Hire to Retire HR operations of all Gold factory units as the primary HR resource.
Responsible to develop organizational design, organizational development, job analysis and overall business capability as per the HR Policy.
Ensure that all areas of HR: policy, process and procedures, recruitment, compensation, training, performance management, employee relations, employee selection and other key human resource areas are followed across all factories as per the companies decision.
Manage all compliance activities under HR function in terms of statutory compliance, advisory, monitoring and regulatory reporting
Recruitment :
Understand the manpower requirements of Office and Gold Smith Category staffs for factories.
Execute recruitment related activities including manpower planning, searching, screening and interviewing, and facilitate hiring of appropriate talent to meet business demands and realise the group's objectives.
Coordinate with concerned factory and regional HR team to ensure that Interview process is as per the company policy
Source potential candidates within timelines and maintain a database of the same.
Ensure all recruitment related documents such as CVs, offer letters, etc. pre and post recruitment are in order and as per the required standards.
Support in Issuing the offer letter, control negotiations with the candidate and act as the liaison between the business and candidates so as to facilitate the successful recruitment execution
Manage induction and on-boarding process of new hires to ensure the required orientation programs are provided in a timely manner
Support in ensuring proper background verification of new hires as per organizational guidelines
Payroll :
Control the process of employee compensation and benefits disbursements (payroll, overtime, allowances deductions, end-of-service indemnity) in line with the employee's contracts and remuneration packages in a timely and accurate manner.
Control the maintenance of payroll files with all the relevant supporting documents in an adequate manner for easy retrieval, reference and audit
Ensure the accurate and timely provision of information and clarifications to all employees regarding their payroll
Statutory Compliance :
Implement day-to-day operations assigned for the HR Compliance unit to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
Manage the effective coordination of HR related statutory compliance activities across the factories with particular reference to regulatory/statutory compliance.
Conduct and manage the evaluation of the various HR compliance processes' and procedures' effectiveness in reference to the regulatory compliance program of all regulatory bodies.
Prepare compliance reports and ensure they meet the requirements of Group's policies, procedures and standards
Ensure development, dissemination, follow up and filing of HR Compliance reports, dashboards in accord with defined quality standards
Performance Management :
Implementation of a Performance Management Framework which enable the accurate evaluation of employee contribution and improve the way in which managers manage the performance of their subordinates.
Ensure follow-up with managers and HR Business Partners on performance management life cycle in order to ensure consistency and accurate implementation by all parties.
Training & Development :
Develop training plans in consultation with Training & Development department in MHQ. so as to ensure the development for all employees is according to the identified needs
Review training results to evaluate Training Effectiveness.
Employee Relations :
To direct the employee relations and welfare activities which include the management of staff services related to employee engagement , grievance, medical, workplace discipline, Health and Safety etc., to ensure that the functions' requirements are being met in line with the HR policies and overall business objectives.
Ensure that Employee grievance cases are prepared with all supporting documents and data in order to ensure that the decisions made are based on facts and in comply with local labour law
Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Oversee the implementation of workplace discipline policy framework throughout the Organization.
Develop and implement non-remuneration reward practices so as to achieve high level of employee satisfaction and recognition with minimum cost
HRMS :
To manage the HR database and system by developing, maintaining and constantly updating the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to ensure alignment with the HR strategy and operational requirements
Separation :
Ensure that the exit interview is completed and Full & Final settlement are done as per the company policies.
Ensure that all assets are recovered, and a proper handing over is done.
Monitor and check that clearances are obtained from all the necessary departments in order for the employee to exit from the organization
