Role Summary



The Senior HR Manager will oversee and manage the full spectrum of HR operations for Compass Bangalore. This role ensures alignment with CLI's global HR framework, policies, compliance standards, and performance expectations. The position requires strong leadership, HR governance experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multi-country HR coordination when required.

Key Responsibilities



1. HR Operations & Governance



Oversee day-to-day HR operations across onboarding, payroll support, attendance, leave administration, performance management, and employee lifecycle processes. Ensure compliance with local labour laws, CLI global HR policies, and internal audit requirements. Maintain accurate HR documentation, personnel files, and sensitive HR records.

2. Talent Management & Development



Build and implement structured onboarding programs aligned with CLI's global training framework. Identify training needs, coordinate with Dubai HQ on learning paths, skill development and internal academies. Drive succession planning and career development initiatives for the India office.

3. Performance & Culture Leadership



Ensure KPI setting, quarterly reviews, and performance documentation are executed correctly. Promote a strong culture of integrity, professionalism, and alignment with CLI's values. Support managers in handling team challenges, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.

4. Employee Relations



Serve as the primary escalation point for employee complaints, grievances, attendance issues, and HR-related investigations. Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, conduct, and performance expectations.

5. Talent Acquisition Oversight



Oversee recruitment for all departments; support the Recruitment Specialist to ensure timely and quality hiring. Approve shortlists, participate in senior-level interviews, and ensure alignment with manpower planning and budget.

6. Reporting & Coordination



Submit monthly HR reports to Dubai HQ on headcount, attendance, attrition, recruitment, and performance updates. Coordinate closely with the Admin & HR Director MEA on HR strategies, manpower planning, and compliance processes.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred. 8-12 years of HR experience (minimum 3 years in a managerial role). Experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently while coordinating with regional management.
