About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Generalist to manage end-to-end HR operations for the Kolkata site/business unit. This role partners closely with managers and HR leadership to ensure seamless hiring support, employee engagement, compliance, HR operations excellence, and positive employee experience.
What you will do:
Talent Acquisition Support
Coordinate end-to-end hiring cycles: JD intake, sourcing coordination, interview scheduling, feedback tracking, and offer documentation
Track and report TA metrics such as Fill Rate, TTF/TTH, Aging, and Offer Acceptance on a weekly basis
Onboarding & Offboarding
Ensure pre-joining readiness including kits, BGV initiation, asset/access requests, and buddy assignment
Conduct HR orientation, manage joining documentation, and ensure HRMS/Payroll setup
Handle exits end-to-end: resignations, clearance tracking, FnF inputs, exit interviews, and attrition analysis
Employee Engagement & Experience
Execute engagement calendars, recognition programs, pulse surveys, and eNPS action plans
Drive 30/60/90-day check-ins and proactively address early attrition risks
Coordinate internal mobility and learning initiatives
Employee Relations & Compliance
Act as first-line ER support with proper documentation and escalation when required
Support POSH awareness initiatives and committee coordination
Maintain statutory and internal compliance records (attendance, leave, contracts, ER logs)
HR Operations & Data
Maintain HRMS data hygiene, issue HR letters, manage payroll inputs, and vendor coordination
Liaise with BGV, insurance, and facilities vendors for HR-related touchpoints
What we are looking for:
Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy
Data-driven approach to HR operations and decision-making
Effective stakeholder management across managers and employees
Education & Experience
3-7 years of experience as an HR Generalist with hands-on ownership of hiring support and employee engagement
Bachelor's degree required; MBA/PGDM in HR preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical & Functional Skills
Excel/Sheets: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, dashboards, and MIS reporting
PowerPoint/Slides: Executive-ready presentations and KPI scorecards
HRMS/ATS exposure (Keka, Zoho, SuccessFactors, Lever, Greenhouse, or similar)
Documentation: SOPs, policies, process maps, audit-ready records
Familiarity with ticketing tools and collaboration platforms
