We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and people-centric
HR Generalist
to support our growing global team. This role will be instrumental in executing day-to-day HR operations, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies. You'll play a key role in cultivating a positive remote culture and streamlining HR processes in a dynamic online education environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
Act as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related matters, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
Manage end-to-end processes for new hires and exits, including documentation, orientation, and offboarding procedures.
HR Administration:
Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
Performance Management:
Support the planning and execution of performance reviews and employee development programs.
Recruitment Support:
Assist in job postings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Benefits & Compensation:
Assist in benefits administration, open enrollment, and respond to employee questions about benefits and payroll.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions (U.S. and international, if applicable).
Culture & Engagement:
Support virtual team-building initiatives, surveys, DEI efforts, and employee engagement strategies.
HR Projects:
Collaborate on HR initiatives such as policy updates, system implementations, and talent management strategies.
Requirements:
Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
1-3 years of experience in an HR generalist role
Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulation
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Proficient in HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, recruitment tools)
Nice to Have:
Experience in the education or online industry
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI)
Knowledge of HR metrics and analytics
