The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, employee lifecycle management, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement within an architectural firm environment. The role requires hands-on experience, strong people management skills, and an understanding of professional service organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Manpower Planning
Manage end-to-end recruitment for architectural, design, technical, and support roles.
Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and hiring timelines.
Source candidates through job portals, consultants, references, and internal networks.
Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate technical and final interview rounds.
Handle offer rollouts, salary negotiations, and onboarding formalities.
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
Manage employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
Handle onboarding, induction, confirmations, transfers, and exits (full & final settlement).
Maintain attendance, leave management, and HRIS records.
Ensure adherence to company HR policies and processes.
Payroll & Compensation Support
Coordinate with finance/payroll teams for monthly payroll inputs.
Manage salary revisions, incentives, bonuses, and statutory deductions.
Ensure accuracy of payroll-related data and timely disbursements.
Performance Management
Coordinate annual performance appraisals and mid-year reviews.
Support goal setting, appraisal documentation, and performance improvement plans.
Assist management in identifying training and development needs.
Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments, etc.).
Liaise with consultants and authorities for statutory filings, audits, and inspections.
Maintain statutory registers and compliance records.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Act as a point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
Promote a positive work culture aligned with the firm's values and professional standards.
Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications.
Policy Implementation & HR Governance
Implement HR policies, SOPs, and internal guidelines.
Support management in policy updates and organizational changes.
Ensure confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism in HR practices.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of end-to-end HR functions.
Experience handling professionals such as architects, designers, engineers, and consultants.
Good working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in
MS Excel, MS Office, HRMS tools
, and payroll coordination.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
5-6 years of relevant HR Generalist experience, preferably in architectural, design, engineering, or professional services firms.
