1. Role Overview
We are looking for a result-oriented HR Executive to join our growing team in Kolkata. As a key player in our HR department, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent to support our steel manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will understand the unique job market dynamics of the manufacturing sector and possess the networking skills to find both technical and administrative professionals.
2. Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Recruitment:
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from understanding manpower requisitions to final onboarding.

Sourcing:
Utilize job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed), social media, and local networks to build a strong pipeline of candidates.
?
Specialized Hiring:
Source candidates for diverse roles including Data Entry Operators, Quality Control, Sales & Marketing, Logistics, and Administrative staff.
?
Screening & Interviewing:
Conduct initial telephonic rounds to assess candidate fit, technical basics, and salary expectations.
?
Interview Coordination:
Act as the primary point of contact for candidates; schedule and coordinate technical and management interview rounds with Department Heads (HODs).
?
Pre-Joining Verification:
Conduct thorough reference checks and coordinate Background Verification (BGV) to ensure candidate credibility.
?
Documentation:
Collect and verify all necessary documents (educational, experience, and salary slips) for the offer generation process.
?
Complete Onboarding:
Initiate and track the Onboarding Process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
? Make necessary arrangements before joining, including coordinating with IT/Admin for workstations, ID cards, email setup, and safety gear (PPE) if plant-based.
? Conduct the first-day induction and orientation program.
?
Database Management:
Maintain an updated MIS report of the recruitment pipeline and candidate database.
3. Skills & Competencies
?
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of core recruitment experience (Experience in Manufacturing, Steel, or Engineering sectors is highly preferred).
?
Education:
MBA in HR or a Graduate degree with relevant certification.(preferred)
?
Local Knowledge:
Familiarity with the Kolkata/West Bengal job market and talent pools.
?
Communication:
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali (essential for coordinating with plant-level staff).
?
Tech Savvy:
Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
?
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to represent the company professionally to prospective hires.
