Employee Relations:
Acting as a point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and conflicts. The role involves mediating disputes, providing guidance on company policies, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.
Policy and Compliance:
Ensuring the company's HR policies and procedures are in compliance with labor laws and regulations. This includes drafting, updating, and communicating policies related to leave, compensation, and conduct.
Performance Management:
Assisting with performance review cycles, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and implementing performance improvement plans.
HR Administration and Data Management:
Maintaining accurate employee records, including personnel files, contracts, and attendance data. They often use Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
Compensation and Benefits:
Assisting in the design and management of compensation and benefits packages, and ensuring accurate payroll processing in coordination with the finance department.
Training and Development:
Identifying training needs and coordinating learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and promote career growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required. Some positions may prefer or require a master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PHR).
Experience:
Proven experience in a human resources role, often with at least 3-6 years of experience in manufacturing field.
Knowledge:
A solid understanding of the full HR cycle, labor legislation, and best practices. Familiarity with HR software and systems is also crucial.
Soft Skills:
This role demands strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Candidates should be adept at problem-solving, conflict resolution, and have a high degree of discretion when handling confidential information.
