Handle recruitment for logistics and freight forwarding roles, including operations, documentation, and customer service positions
Conduct interviews, background checks, and manage end-to-end onboarding processes
Maintain and update employee records, attendance, and leave management systems
Coordinate with the finance team for payroll processing and statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, professional tax, etc.)
Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and internal HR policies
Address employee grievances and support disciplinary procedures as required
Support employee engagement initiatives and inter-departmental communication
Collaborate with department heads to assess staffing needs and develop hiring plans
Assist in performance appraisal processes and goal-setting frameworks
Organize skill development or compliance-related training sessions for staff
Maintain HR documentation and prepare reports for audits or internal reviews
Liaise with recruitment consultants or vendors as needed
Requirements:
Graduate or postgraduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation company
Good understanding of HR practices and regulatory requirements in the logistics sector
Proficiency in HR management systems or software (e.g., Zoho People, GreytHR, etc.)
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage HR functions across multiple teams or branch locations
