Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR professional to manage all human resource functions for our growing cafe chain and retail operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the restaurant/cafe/hospitality industry, understanding the unique challenges of shift-based staffing, high-volume recruitment, and maintaining a positive, customer-facing team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract talented baristas, chefs, service staff, and cafe managers across multiple locations.
Handle end-to-end hiring: job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.
Manage employee relations, including grievance handling, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment aligned with our values of sustainability and wellness.
Oversee payroll processing, attendance tracking (considering shifts, overtime, and holidays), and compliance with labor laws (PF, ESI, gratuity, etc.).
Design and conduct training programs for front-of-house and back-of-house staff, focusing on customer service, food safety, and brand standards.
Maintain employee records, performance appraisals, and support career development initiatives.
Ensure adherence to statutory compliances, health & safety norms, and POSH policies.
Collaborate with cafe managers on staffing needs, scheduling, and team motivation.
Contribute to HR policies that promote work-life balance in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Requirements
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2-5 years of HR experience, with at least 1 years in the restaurant, cafe, hotel, or QSR industry.
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and hospitality-specific HR practices (e.g., shift rostering, tip management).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse teams.
Proactive, organized, and able to handle multi-location operations.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HR software is a plus.
Passion for wellness, sustainability, and the food & beverage sector is highly desirable.
