The HR Executive/Manager will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR functions within the travel company, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry and understand the unique staffing needs of this domain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
Manage end-to-end recruitment for travel roles (e.g., travel consultants, ticketing staff, tour managers, visa executives).
Develop job descriptions and source candidates through portals, referrals, and agencies.
Conduct interviews and coordinate with department heads for selection.
2. Onboarding & Induction
Organize joining formalities and employee documentation.
Conduct induction sessions for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company.
3. Training & Development
Identify training needs specific to travel operations (e.g., GDS systems, customer service, destination knowledge).
Coordinate internal/external training programs to upskill staff.
4. Payroll & Attendance
Maintain attendance and leave records.
Coordinate payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, TDS).
5. Employee Engagement & Relations
Plan team-building activities, travel familiarization trips, and engagement programs.
Resolve employee grievances and promote a positive workplace culture.
6. HR Policies & Compliance
Ensure adherence to HR policies and labor laws.
Maintain employee records and update HRMS.
Assist in audits and statutory documentation.
7. Performance Management
Support annual performance appraisals and goal-setting processes.
Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans when needed.
8. Exit Formalities
Handle resignations, clearance, and exit interviews.
Analyze attrition data to improve retention.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in HR, Business Administration, or related field).
MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
1-2 years of HR experience, preferably in the
travel, tourism, or hospitality industry
.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Good knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS software.
