_ to manage payroll administration, attendance and workforce records, statutory compliance support, and resolve day-to-day workforce issues at our manufacturing plant. The role requires strong coordination with production, accounts, security, admin and contractors to ensure smooth workforce operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Attendance Management
Track daily attendance, absenteeism, shift changes and overtime
Maintain time office records for factory staff and operators
Prepare payroll inputs (attendance, OT, leaves, deductions, etc.)
Coordinate with Accounts for final payroll processing & disbursement
Manage onboarding, documentation and updates for new hires and exits
Statutory & Compliance Support
Maintain compliance-related HR records (PF/ESIC/PT/Bonus/Gratuity)
Ensure contractors submit statutory compliances (PF/ESIC/Challans)
Support audits and compliance inspections
Maintain personnel files, gate passes and documentation
Workforce Grievance Handling
Act as first point of contact for shop-floor workforce issues
Handle grievances related to leaves, salary, OT, shift timings, work allocation etc.
Escalate sensitive issues to HR Head/Plant Head as required
Maintain discipline and basic IR (Industrial Relations) on shop-floor
Hiring & Workforce Management
Support hiring of operators, packers, helpers and contract workforce
Coordinate with contractors, hiring vendors and security for manpower
Maintain manpower strength MIS and highlight vacancies/shortfalls
Support manpower planning during peak orders and changes in production
Safety, Welfare & Admin Support
Coordinate basic welfare activities (canteen, water, PPE, uniforms, etc.)
Maintain shop-floor hygiene, discipline and compliance norms
Coordinate safety training, inductions and awareness when required
Skills Required
Good understanding of payroll processes (attendance, deductions)
Familiarity with PF/ESIC and factory statutory compliance
Ability to work with factory workforce (operators, helpers, contractors)
Conflict handling & grievance management skills
Strong coordination with production & accounts teams
Excel proficiency (MIS, payroll sheets, reports)
Knowledge of time office systems preferred
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate/Post-Graduate (HR / Commerce preferred)
Experience: 2-5 years in factory HR/Payroll/Time Office
Experience in manufacturing / FMCG / packaging plant preferred
Female preferred
