Job Description

As an HR Executive, you will be the face of management on the shop floor, ensuring that the workforce remains disciplined, motivated, and heard. You will play a critical role in maintaining "Industrial Peace" to ensure zero loss in production hours due to labour unrest.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Grievance Redressal & Shop Floor Presence



Maintain a constant presence on the factory floor to build rapport with workers and supervisors. Act as the first point of contact for worker grievances, resolving issues related to shifts, overtime, or canteen/transport facilities before they escalate. Assist in conducting domestic inquiries and disciplinary proceedings in alignment with the

Industrial Disputes Act, 1947

.

2. Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws



Ensure strict adherence to Indian labour statutes, including:

The Factories Act, 1948

(Safety, health, and welfare of workers).

The Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970

.

The Payment of Wages Act

and

Minimum Wages Act

.
Manage the documentation and filing for monthly returns and inspections from labour department officials.

3. Contract Labor Management



Oversee the attendance, payment, and compliance of contract workers. Coordinate with labor contractors to ensure a steady supply of manpower for production targets.

4. Conflict Mediation



Assist the Plant HR Head in negotiations with labor unions or informal worker representatives. Monitor the "pulse" of the factory to identify early signs of collective dissatisfaction or potential strikes

Required Qualifications & Skills:



Education:

MBA in HR/MSW (Master of Social Work) or a Diploma in Industrial Relations and Labour Laws (IRLL).

Experience:

2-4 years in a manufacturing plant (e.g., Automobile, FMCG, Textile, or Steel).

Language:

Fluency in

Assamese, English

and

Hindi

is mandatory for effective communication with the workforce.

Knowledge:

Sound understanding of Indian Labour Codes and Standing Orders.
