The Opportunity: Why will you enjoy this new role? The Global HR Data Management Team is a creative community brought together to ensure data compliance and integrity. We will update the data in corporate systems making this data is accurate, available and accessible. As a member of the HR Data Management organization, you will work with a talented and geographically diverse team to support VMware’s HR Systems and its customers. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 you will work towards completing?

  • Learn the Workday system and HR Data Management processes and support model. Deliver timely resolutions to customer issues.

  • Establish an understanding of key support areas and workflows. Understand the upstream and downstream impacts of these workflows.

  • Build partnerships with team members, technology and support partners, and the broader HR Technology and Services organization to deliver effective solutions and the highest level of customer satisfaction.

  • With support from your manager, effectively manage your time to ensure that work is completed efficiently and adjusting priorities when appropriate.

  • Demonstrate passion for new information, knowledge, and experiences; regularly seek learning opportunities and apply new information.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Data Entry and Customer Support (60%)
  • Global New Hire Entry – Entering all information into system.

  • Global Employee data change processing (dept changes, manager changes, compensation changes, etc)

  • Global non-employee (Alternative Workforce) processing – Agency Temps & Contractors

  • Triage and resolve customer support cases on system, process, or data issues in a timely manner.

  • Conduct regular audits/reports to ensure system data integrity.

  • Identify areas for efficiency and improvement. Raise ideas and solutions to improve how the team works and how we support our customers.

  • Create new support documentation for new support topics and issues as they arise; update existing support documentation to keep up to date with most current information.

HR Data Management - Project Collaboration (25-30% of time)
  • Under direction of the Manager for HR Data Management, participate in company related projects or process imprvement opportunites from the business requirement gathering, business process and testing review, internal documentation & communication,etc.
  • Collaborate closely with our HR Technology Team (HRIS) for the identification and implement ideas and solutions to improve how the team works.
India Team Lead (5-10% of time)
  • Support India HR Data Managemetn team by being first point of contact for questions and/or escalations; escalate issues to manager as needed.
  • Escalate end-user issues promptly to HR Technology team members or VMware IT and leadership.
  • Manage tickets and escalations via established processes & systems.
  • Identify root causes of issue trends and recommend solutions.
  • POC for the region. Involve in the participation of several liaison meetings with our major stakeholders.
  • Distribute Work Volumenes accordingly.
What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? The hiring manager for this role is Daniela Chaves, Manager, Data Management Team. Dany has worked for VMware for over 7 years and during that time has played various roles in HR Services organization. She moved to the HR Data Management organization 5 years ago to lead the local HR Data Management Team and has recently expanded her role to include the Global Data Management team. Dany's management philosophy is to enable and support her team, encouraging collaboration and creative thinking in order for them to do their best work. Trust and communication are cornerstones of her team values and are critical for driving success and engagement across a global support team. Where is this role located? This role is based in India and can be either Flexible or Remote. For Flexible, there is the opportunity to work from the office some days during the week and other days from home (once offices reopen). For Remote, you can work from home fully. In both cases for remote working, it is essential to have strong internet connectivity and limited distractions to perform successfully in this role.
