The HR Compliance & Executive Affairs Specialist is responsible for ensuring organizational adherence to employment laws and internal policies, while also supporting senior leadership HR functions. This dual-role position manages compliance audits, policy implementation, risk mitigation, and provides high-level support for executive HR matters including compensation, contracts, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities:HR Compliance:
Monitor and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with legal standards.
Conduct internal HR audits and investigations in response to compliance violations or complaints.
Maintain up-to-date records related to compliance, employee files, and mandatory trainings.
Serve as a liaison with external auditors, legal advisors, and government agencies.
Provide training and guidance to HR staff and managers on compliance-related matters.
Executive Affairs Support:
Assist in managing HR processes for executive leadership including hiring, onboarding, and contract negotiations.
Coordinate executive performance reviews, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information including executive compensation, benefits, and personal data.
Support organizational restructuring, change management, and board reporting as it pertains to executive HR functions.
Partner with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance in executive compensation, bonuses, and incentives.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of HR experience with a focus on compliance and executive HR functions.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance frameworks.

Effective communication and stakeholder management
Proficiency in HRIS systems and compliance tools
Legal acumen is a plus
