Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees (monthly/bi-weekly, etc.)
Maintain payroll records, salary revisions, and benefits deductions
Coordinate with Finance for disbursement and reporting
Ensure compliance with income tax, PF, ESI, gratuity, and other applicable laws
HR Generalist Duties
Manage onboarding, documentation, and employee record-keeping
Support employee lifecycle: hiring, probation, confirmation, exits
Assist in performance review cycles and HR policy updates
Serve as the point of contact for HR queries and grievance handling
Compliance
Ensure HR and payroll practices comply with applicable labor laws
File statutory returns (e.g., PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.) on time
Maintain compliance records and assist during audits
Track changes in employment law and update policies accordingly
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (MBA/PGDM preferred)
2-5 years of experience in payroll, HR operations, and compliance
Familiarity with [India's Labor Laws / US Labor Law / etc.]
Skills:
Strong understanding of payroll and statutory compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Proficient in MS Excel and HR tools
