An HR Assistant in a college supports the Human Resources department by carrying out administrative and operational tasks essential for smooth HR functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with recruitment activities including posting job ads, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
Support onboarding of new hires by organizing orientations, processing employment documents, and helping new employees acclimate to college policies.
Maintain and update accurate employee records and HR databases to ensure compliance.
Respond to employee queries regarding policies, benefits, attendance, and payroll.
Help with payroll preparation, attendance tracking, leave management, and benefits administration.
Assist in organizing training sessions, employee engagement activities, and HR-related events.
Support HR policy implementation and assist in maintaining compliance with labor laws and college regulations.
Perform routine clerical work such as filing, data entry, preparing HR documents, and managing HR correspondence.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency with HR software, and good communication abilities to enhance HR service delivery within the college environment.
